Re(STORE)ing - taking something you love and bringing it back to it's former glory.
When asked, "What professions, stores or options do you wish Louisiana had?", these were the responses...
Currently, only Head Start and private individuals are the choices for families.
Locals have to travel out of town to visit a Dentist. There were at least two here in the 1980's. One would be a blessing now.
Need a bat, new football, spikes...gotta drive out of town for new or gently used equipment. A sporting goods store would be great in town.
Another professional service we have to travel out of town to get. A great opportunity for someone to begin their practice and gain clientele.
You need quality athletic shoes for the kids or your best friends wedding is coming up. Summer is starting and you need new flip flops for your swim suit attire. No more traveling out of town. No more guess work in ordering online. A local option is just what we need.
Locals are asking for a nail salon & spa, and we know tourists would love the same opportunity for a splurge day. It's a great chance to be the first in Louisiana, MO to offer that. Who knows, maybe your specialty would be Mississippi Mud baths.
We have a few camping & RV parks. Two in town, the other is 10 miles out. If we are as successful as we hope to be, part of the Re(STORE)ing La MO Project will be to offer more places for tourists to stay. More reasons to stop and stay awhile.
From Saint Louis to Hannibal, Louisiana, MO offers the only automotive bridge across the Mississippi, along Hwy 54. We are located 15 miles from US Hwy 61 and Scenic Hwy 79 passes right through our town. Needless to say, we have transport trucks passing through all the time. Why not offer the best place to stop, fuel, rest and eat.
Our town is sparse on efficiency apartments. While there are many rental homes, many are in need of repairs, but there's no where to send the resident as an alternative. Seniors who are needing to downsize have no good options. Efficiency apartments would be a great choice.
Hello?! River town! We need boat and RV storage. It's a struggle to find a place to safely and securely store our summer investments. These storage units fill up fast when offered.
We have a handful of very qualified trade professionals, but we need more. Those we have are overwhelmed and booked way out. A few more of these professionals would be great. Especially when we have the new influx of entrepreneurs coming in to renovate.
We have a few wonderful options for B & B's, but as our Re(STORE)ing La MO Project takes off, we will need more. There are a few amazing buildings that would be a great addition.
